Who we are

The Bible Society of Moldova (BSM) is an interconfessional, non-political, and non-profit organization that brings together representatives of several Christian denominations in the Republic of Moldova. Our goal is to provide the BIBLE to people throughout the country in a language that they understand, in a format they can use, at a price they can afford and to encourage intellectual and spiritual engagement with God’s Word. BSM operates throughout the Republic of Moldova and collaborates with churches, institutions, and organizations that support the promotion of Scripture. Through our projects, the Bible reaches children, young people, families, the elderly, and vulnerable people. The Bible Society of Moldova is part of the international fellowship United Bible Societies (UBS), which operates in over 240 countries and territories, involved in the translation, publishing, and distribution of the Bible worldwide. We want to see lives changed by the power of God's Word, and our contribution is to facilitate the access to Scripture through projects, distribution, translations, and support for communities.

The mission of the Bible Society of Moldova is to make God's Word available to every person, regardless of age, social status, language, or life context, and to encourage a living relationship with Scripture.

The Bible accessible to everyone, in the right language and format.

We want a society where every person has access to the Bible in a relevant and understandable form—printed, digital, audio, or adapted to special needs—so that the message of Scripture reaches the heart and brings hope, light, and change.

WHAT WE DO

The Bible Society of Moldova carries out activities such as:

translating and revising the Bible;
publishing Bibles and biblical resources for children, young people, and adults;
distributing Scriptures throughout the country;
providing free Bibles through social projects;
supporting communities through social projects;
organizing educational programs and Bible events;
promoting Scripture in digital, audio, and multimedia formats;
collaborating with churches, institutions, and international partners.

SBM is a member of the United Bible Societies (UBS) and collaborates with:

churches of various denominations;
non-profit organizations;
educational and social institutions;
local and international partners and donors.
